CoreEL Technologies Raises $30 Million to Scale Aerospace and Defence Electronics Capabilities
Thu Dec 25 2025

CoreEL Technologies, a Bengaluru-headquartered aerospace and defence electronics company, has raised $30 million in a Series B funding round led by ValueQuest Scale Fund, with participation from existing investor 360 ONE Asset.
The majority of the capital infusion came from ValueQuest Scale Fund, while 360 ONE Asset — which led CoreEL’s Series A round — increased its stake, reaffirming confidence in the company’s long-term growth and execution capabilities.
Building Mission-Critical Defence Electronics
Founded in 1999, CoreEL Technologies specialises in the design, manufacturing, and supply of advanced electronic systems and sub-systems for India’s aerospace and defence ecosystem.
Its solutions are deployed across a wide range of strategic and mission-critical applications, including:
- Next-generation avionics
- Radar and missile systems
- Electronic warfare platforms
- Military communications (MILCOM)
- Sonar systems
CoreEL counts the Ministry of Defence, defence public sector undertakings, and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) among its key customers, placing the company at the core of India’s strategic defence programmes.
How the Funds Will Be Used
The newly raised Series B capital will be deployed to support CoreEL’s next phase of growth, including:
- Scaling manufacturing capacity to meet rising demand
- Strengthening R&D and product engineering for next-generation systems
- Supporting participation in large and complex aerospace and defence programmes in India and international markets
The funding is expected to enhance CoreEL’s ability to deliver high-reliability, mission-critical electronics at scale, an essential requirement in defence and aerospace applications.
Leadership and Investor Perspective
Vishwanath Padur, Managing Director of CoreEL Technologies, said the Series B round reflects strong investor confidence in the company’s engineering depth and execution track record.
He noted that CoreEL has established itself as a world-class electronic systems company, delivering complex solutions to India’s Armed Forces through DRDO and defence PSUs, while continuing to build advanced systems for future aerospace and defence programmes.
Pushkar Jauhari, Managing Director and Head of Private Equity at ValueQuest Scale Fund, said CoreEL aligns closely with the fund’s focus on scalable, IP-led platforms that support India’s defence indigenisation and strategic autonomy goals.
Umesh Agrawal, Fund Manager at 360 ONE Asset and nominee director on CoreEL’s board, said the firm was pleased to deepen its partnership with CoreEL, citing the company’s strong leadership, clear strategy, and consistent execution.
Strategic Expansion Through Acquisition
The funding follows CoreEL’s recent acquisition of the aerospace and defence systems division of Lekha Wireless. This acquisition strengthens CoreEL’s capabilities in wireless communication systems and adds valuable intellectual property and specialised engineering talent to its portfolio.
The move enhances CoreEL’s end-to-end technology stack and positions it to take on more complex, integrated defence programmes.
Riding India’s Defence Indigenisation Wave
India’s defence sector is undergoing a structural shift, driven by:
- Rising defence budgets
- Strong policy push for indigenisation and local manufacturing
- Increasing global demand for Indian defence suppliers
With its deep domain expertise, long operating history, and expanding capabilities, CoreEL is well positioned to play a larger role in India’s aerospace and defence value chain.
Looking Ahead
The $30 million Series B round marks a key milestone for CoreEL Technologies as it scales operations, deepens R&D, and expands its footprint across critical defence and aerospace programmes in India and overseas.
As India accelerates its journey toward defence self-reliance and global competitiveness, companies like CoreEL — combining engineering depth, IP ownership, and execution capability — are set to become foundational players in the ecosystem.
